Christmas in the Air

It was last September 1 when I realized that Christmas is coming. My friend was the first one to greet me since it was already a -ber month. Now, it is already December and I can hear Christmas songs and caroling of children in the streets. Lanterns, Christmas Tree, nativity and other decorations are all around. As I woke up this morning, it was already six but the sky was still dark and it was very cold. I even had to wear jacket in going to class.

Every time the Christmas is coming, I usually feel excited especially that I can finally go home after six months of waiting here in the dormitory. I miss my family and friends. Last year, we had our high school reunion and it was fun and memorable. It was such a rare moment to see almost all of your classmates after being apart for years or months. Most of them grew to be different from those high school teens that we were. I am indeed excited to see them again when I go home.

I usually smile each time I remember my Christmas with my family. We are busy during this season because of our business to the extent that we do not have enough energy to celebrate. Still, the important thing is we are together during holidays. Unlike in my birthday that I have to celebrate it with my friends here and the last time I had my birthday at home was when I was 16.

Christmas is the birthday of Jesus...Let us all be happy and prepare for his coming. Spread the love in the air...
