Confused Heart

Distance is just a mindset, it does not really matter at all. Is this true?

When two people wanted to be together, even though how far they are from each other or how cruel fate seems to be for them, they will cross the bounds of sacrifices and time will tell when they will meet again. Do you believe in destiny? or in soul mates? They say that if you are destined for each other, you will really be. Then how can you tell that the person with you right now is your destiny? Can you feel that he/she is the one? You may not know that after marrying that person, you happened to meet another person and you came to realize that you were wrong after all.

Such things may happen to me or to you. I once believed that if you love a person and he wants to be with someone else, then set him free. Let him have his happiness. If he comes back, then he is yours. But if not, he will never be. But now... I guess I do not believe with this anymore. Giving up and letting go may seem different from holding on but both things are so selfish.

When the world looks so vague, when the thoughts in your mind are not so clear, when you ask yourself, is this still me, what would you answer? When love was the only thing that gives you hope and now, it is the last thing that left you, can you still smile? When he was once there by your side and now, you have no one, can you move on?

Now tell me, is distance still a mindset? The bigger the distance between you and him, the bigger also the chance of forgetting.
